Jet Maintenance Consulting Corp. Fuel Tank Safety Training 

The Jet Maintenance Consulting Corp. Fuel Tank Safety course is designed to educate the learner about changes to commercial aircraft fuel tank requirements arising from the 2001 Fuel Tank Safety Rule and the 2008 Fuel Tank Flammability Reduction rule. It is divided into two modules. The first module looks at the history of aircraft fuel tank explosions. It examines specific hazards involved in fuel tank explosions as well as previous and newly developed prevention tactics.

The second module focuses on the effects the new regulations have had on the Manufacturers, the Operators, and the Maintenance Organizations. Specific examples of mandatory maintenance requirements, found in various maintenance documents, are used to familiarize the individual with these new FAR requirements.

  • Have an Understanding of the History and the Need for Fuel Tank Safety.

  • Understand the Hazard and Prevention Methods.

  • Understand Regulatory Changes Made Regarding Fuel Tank Safety.

  • Be able to Identify Airworthiness Limitation Instructions and Critical Design Configuration Control Limitations in Maintenance Documents.

  • Understand the Importance of Complying with ALL Airworthiness Limitation Instructions and Critical Design Configuration Control Limitations Procedures.
