The Aeroflex IFR 4000 Test Set Operation curriculum is a course consisting of 5 modules created. It is hosted on an adobe connect server or other LMS. Its purpose is to teach the learner to use the Aeroflex IFR 4000 to test aircraft VOR, ILS, Marker Beacon, Communications, and ELT aircraft systems. The course is not aircraft specific in nature, but rather apply to all aircraft types.

 

Upon Completion of this course, the learner will;

• Know the capabilities of the IFR 4000 test set.

• Be able to use the IFR 4000 keys and screens to set up the unit for use.

• Understand how to accomplish aircraft VOR and Marker Beacon system tests.

• Be able to accomplish aircraft Localizer, Glide slope, and combined ILS system testing.

• Know how to test aircraft VHF, HF, and SELCAL communication systems using the IFR 4000.

• Understand how to use the test set for accomplishing aircraft ELT and SWR checks.
